About Texas Coast Fishing Charters
What types of fishing trips do you offer in Texas?
Texas Coast Fishing Charters provides a variety of trips, including inshore charters for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder, as well as offshore adventures targeting Kingfish, Snapper, and Mahi-Mahi. We also offer seasonal trips such as Flounder gigging and Tarpon fishing.
When is the best time to go fishing in Texas?
Fishing is productive year-round on the Texas coast, but certain seasons are better for specific species. Spring and summer are ideal for Redfish and Trout, while late summer into fall is prime for Tarpon and offshore species. Flounder gigging is most popular in the fall.
Can kids and beginners join a fishing trip?
Absolutely. Our charters are designed for anglers of all skill levels, including children and first-time fishermen. Our guides provide hands-on instruction to make sure everyone enjoys their time on the water.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my trip?
Safety is always our top priority. If conditions are unsafe, the trip may be rescheduled or canceled at the captain’s discretion. In those cases, you will be offered a refund or the option to book another date.
Do I need a fishing license for my trip?
Yes. All anglers 17 and older are required to have a valid Texas fishing license with a saltwater endorsement. Licenses can be purchased online or at local retailers prior to your trip.
What should I bring on my fishing charter?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal snacks or drinks. A camera is also a great idea for capturing your catches. We’ll provide the fishing gear and equipment.
What is included in a Texas Coast Fishing Charters trip?
All charters include a licensed captain, the boat, fuel, rods, reels, bait, and tackle. We also provide ice and a cooler for your catch. The goal is to make sure you have everything you need for a successful day on the water.
